KOJI TOP STYLIST HAIR COLLECTION

On August 6th, our team at USFIN ATELIER proudly witnessed the rise of one of our very own talented hair stylists, Koji, who was promoted to Top Stylist after presenting his powerful and evocative hair design collection called ‘EDGY LONELINESS’. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Koji for achieving such an incredible milestone in his career! 

Koji’s collection transcended more than just a display of hair artistry—it was a deeply personal and reflective concept. The theme of ‘EDGY LONELINESS’ explored the often unspoken emotion of loneliness, capturing its raw edges and subtle complexities.

“Everyone feels loneliness, but no one talks about it. Everyone wants to talk about their success stories, but we can learn more from stories of our mistakes.”

Through this perspective, Koji has not only pushed the boundaries of creative hair design but also encouraged a conversation about the importance of embracing vulnerability in the pursuit of furthering his artistry. 

Having lived in Sydney, Australia for 2 years and 8 months, Koji reflects on the diverse individuals he's connected with and the unique perspectives that have deeply influenced his way of life, which is evident in his work. The term “edgy” embodies the dark, distinct elements Koji resonates with, while “loneliness” represents the personal struggles he vulnerably shares with us. Together, these concepts form Koji’s duality—”Edgy Loneliness”—which explores the fear of isolation but also reveals the moments of self-discovery that help us understand ourselves on a deeper level.

The presentation was a true testament to Koji's dedication, passion, and vision. Every element of the collection was meticulously curated by him, from the casting and music selection to the execution of the haircuts and colour designs.

The talents—Eren (@nisshokuu7), Elisabeth (@getmesomesodium), and Suzy (@zuzy.woo)—brought the vision to life that complemented the boldness and emotional depth of the collection. It was an emotional moment for the entire USFIN ATELIER team to see Koji shine so brightly in his element, showcasing the remarkable growth he has achieved over his years with us.

As of October 1st, 2024, Koji’s Cut & Style price will increase to $118 to reflect his new status as Top Stylist. However, clients with existing appointments booked in October will retain the original pricing. We are excited to see Koji continue to elevate his craft and look forward to all the future holds for him in his new role.
