On Sunday, our Creative Director, Daniel, had the incredible opportunity to design and style NIKI’s hair for her Buzz World Tour in Sydney.

NIKI, an Indonesian singer-songwriter under 88rising, has captivated global audiences with her soulful voice, poetic lyricism, and genre-blending sound. Rising to fame with hits like Every Summertime and Lowkey, she has established herself as a powerhouse in the music industry, performing on prestigious stages such as Coachella and selling out shows worldwide.

Our director meticulously crafted NIKI’s hairstyle, experimenting with various designs to ensure the perfect look. Inspired by NIKI’s stunning mermaid-themed dress for the tour, the final look featured intricate braiding techniques adorned with pearls and delicate intertwining details. The addition of structured hairpieces created a striking silhouette that not only complemented her ethereal outfit but also accentuated her natural elegance on stage.

MOODBOARD

Drawing inspiration from NIKI’s “Going Under” Concert dress code, Daniel’s hair design was deeply influenced by water and pearls. He aimed to highlight NIKI’s Sea Goddess energy with an edgy twist, while still staying true to her authentic self.

Being part of such a high-profile project and contributing to the visual storytelling of an internationally celebrated artist is a true honour. A huge thank you to our talented assistant, Fumika, for her dedication and creativity. Her support was instrumental in bringing this design to life alongside our director.

We are beyond grateful for this opportunity to bring our creative vision to life and to see NIKI shine with a look that perfectly encapsulated the magic of the Buzz World Tour.
